The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Blewbury Players. St Michael's Church, Blewbury, OX11 9QH

Date:
28 November 2017 - 7:30pm - 2 December 2017 - 12:00am

The Blewbury Players, usually known for their popular open air summer productions, are this year enjoying turning St Michael’s Church into Narnia and performing  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The play is adapted from the classic story by C S Lewis and will be directed by Jo Laugharne and designed by Katie-Jane Whitlock and Loraine Fergusson.

St Michael’s is a particularly appropriate setting for this tale about the struggle of good over evil; Aslan, the lion, resurrected to vanquish the White Witch and thaw the frozen land of Narnia in time for Christmas.   Our design and construction teams are even now planning the transformation of the church into the magical land on the other side of the wardrobe and the construction of a lion as memorable as War Horse.   Meanwhile our inventive and enthusiastic cast are developing their characters as beavers, leopards, wolves, satyrs, dryads, naiads and hags.

Adults £12.50. Under 18's £6. Not suitable for under 6yr.

Evening performances 7.30pm and Sat matinee 3pm. Tickets  from Savages, Blewbury and on line at http://buytickets.at/the-blewbury-players/122428
